Mental Health First Aid

2 - DAY STANDARD

This 2-Day interactive Face to Face workshop is the original MHFA program that teaches you how to assist adults who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.

The 12-hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course is for any interested adult. Suitable for adults in workplaces, schools, and community settings to support other adults.

You will learn how to assist an adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.

This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

What People said about this course

@Jeffrey

I feel more confident in responding to mental health problems that occur at school with students, parents, volunteers and staff.

@Layla

As awareness of mental health increases its great to be able to do a course like this that dispels many myths and better equips us to be able to respond better.

@Alfian

This was one of the most interesting, engaging and informative courses I have ever completed.

What the course covers:

Learn about the signs and symptoms of common and disabling mental health problems in adults, how to provide initial help, where and how to get professional help, what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective, and how to provide first aid in a crisis situation.

This is an education course, to learn how to give first aid to others, and is not a therapy or support group.
